Please be advised that a dog license cannot be issued if the rabies vaccination expires in the current year.
A Free Rabies Vaccine Clinic will be held at the Recreation Building in Fenton Lane Park on March 11, 2017 from 9 am to 11 am. Dog licenses will not be issued during the clinic. Dog licenses are due March 31, 2017. See below for cost and renewal information. Failure to renew by March 31st will result in a $5.00 month per dog late fee.
Please note: All dogs 6 months old or older or having a permanent set of teeth must have a dog license.

Dog license renewal forms are mailed in January to all homeowners who have previously licensed their dogs in Chesterfield Township. To renew a dog licenses, send please send the form and any necessary documentation with the required fee to Chesterfield Twp. Dog Registrar, 300 Bordentown-Chesterfield Rd, Chesterfield, NJ 08515 by March 31st. All documentation and the dog licenses will be mailed back to you. You may also renew or get a new dog licenses at the Police Department during normal business hours, Monday thru Friday.If you have misplaced the renewal form or have a new dog to license, you may use the form below. Please notify the Township if your dog is now deceased or no longer owned.
TOWNSHIP ORDINANCE STATES: No person who owns or shall have the custody of any dog shall permit the same to run at large in any public street or in any public place or upon property other than that of its owner. All dogs in the recreation areas throughout the Township are required to be leashed. Failure to leash your dog and / or clean up after your dog will subject you to the penalties prescribed by Township Ordinance.
Allowing dogs to run at large is punishable by a fine.
